GUT NOURISHING CRACKERS

Gluten free - Dairy free - Plant based

INGREDIENTS:

3 tbsp chia seeds

3 tbsp flax meal

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup sunflower seeds

1/2 cup almonds

3 tbsp nutritional yeast

1/2 cup quinoa flakes or oats

Pinch of salt to taste

1 tsp fennel seeds

3 tbsp olive oil

METHOD:

Combine the chia seeds with water to create a gel.

In a blender, combine the sunflower seeds, almonds, and fennel seeds to create a flour.

Once you have the gel, pour the flour mixture and all the other ingredients into the chia gel and mix thoroughly.

Prepare a baking tray lined with baking paper and spread the cracker mixture evenly to your desired thickness.

Bake at a medium temperature for 20 minutes. After that time, remove them from the oven, cut the crackers with a knife, and return them to the oven until they are crunchy and golden.

Store the crackers in a glass container. If they become soft, you can bake them for 5 minutes to restore their crunchiness. Enjoy with your favourite spreads or cheese!
